Emma Hill - Fine Artist
Emma Hanina Hill is a London based painter
Emma Hill is a figurative painter based in London. Her work encompasses portraiture, still life, intimate garden scapes and landscape. She works from life combining close observation with an intuitive response to the sitter or subject with a style that is loose and painterly.

Emma had an early art school training both in the UK and France, but was seduced and energised by the written word, magazines, and the beauty industry. Emma became an award-winning beauty & fragrance journalist writing about the subject for many years.
Yet even when in the field making notes about the lavender harvest in Provence she was building up sketchbooks. This led to a return to painting. Over the past 20 years Emma has dovetailed her work as a copywriter and brand consultant with her artistic practice, developing her skills at art schools in London and Florence.

Emma has exhibited with Chelsea Art Society (CAS) of which she is a member and independently in Brighton, Oxford and London.

Emma's initial art school training was rooted in painterly abstraction, elements of which carry through to her figurative work today. Art tutors whose influence and guidance she has cherished have included artists Clive King, Allan Ramsay, Ian Rowlands and Daniel Shadbolt.
